School of Trout
A three day summer camp for 12 local kids ages 9-13 to learn about fly fishing and conservation
Camp OBJECTIVE:
Provide each camper with a rod, reel, net, and tools that they can learn with and take home at the close of camp to continue fishing.
Equip campers with crucial knowledge on all things relating to fly fishing so they can be well rounded beginner anglers.

CAMP SCHEDULE

The cost per child to attend kids camp would normally be $250 per child, but thanks to our generous sponsors and donors, we will be able to cover 100% of the cost and provide scholarships for all campers who are selected to attend kids camp. Registration will be in a lottery-style format following a completed application. We will open our application period from April 15 to May 15, and we will notify selected campers the week of May 27.

Application is open to 5B Anglers members who hold a family membership.
You will need to fill out the kids camp application during the application window of April 15 to May 15. In the application, you will be required to upload a 1 minute video of your camper discussing why they want to attend and what they hope to learn.
Campers will be selected in a lottery-style format and notified the week of May 27.

Please visit your members only site to upgrade your individual membership to a family membership for only $15

Our daily camp menu is set in advance. If your child is unable to eat something on the menu, they will need to bring a sack lunch and/or snacks from home with them.

We will reach out to the parent on file to notify them and ask how they would like us to proceed.
We will also have a medical volunteer staffed every day and we carry an umbrella insurance policy.

Our home base on day 1 will be the Silver Creek Preserve Visitors Center, and day 2 & 3 will take place at Lions Park.

Our application is pretty standard (name, phone number, address, allergies, medications, tc.) but does also require you to submit a video of your child explaining why they want to attend and what they hope to learn. You also need to have a 5B Anglers family membership - you can sign up for your membership here.

The application fee is non-refundable.

We encourage all interested kids to apply! You will need to fill out an individual application for each child, and each application will require a $25 application fee. (Example: 3 kids means 3 applications and a $75 application fee.)
