GANNETT ROAD & KILPATRICK BRIDGE CLEANUP
Caring for our rivers means caring for everything that flows into them — including the roads that lead us there.
At 5B Anglers, conservation doesn’t stop at the water’s edge. That’s why we proudly sponsor two sections of road in Blaine County through the local Adopt-A-Road program: one along Kilpatrick Bridge Road near Silver Creek Preserve, and the other at the start of Gannett Road near the Highway 75 intersection. These aren’t just well-traveled routes for anglers — they’re key access points to the landscapes we love and protect.
Twice a year, we gather volunteers to roll up their sleeves and give these roadways a thorough cleanup. Bags are filled, boots get muddy, and together we leave the area better than we found it. Between these events, our board members keep a close eye on the roads and pick up trash as needed to ensure our commitment holds year-round.
While it may seem like a small effort, these cleanups are an important part of our broader mission: to promote responsible recreation, protect local ecosystems, and lead by example in our community. Every bottle, can, and piece of plastic we remove is one less pollutant making its way into our rivers.
We’re grateful to our volunteers who show up rain or shine, and we invite anyone who shares our love for clean water and wild places to join us next time. Because a healthy watershed starts long before the first cast.
