This advanced clinic is designed for experienced casters who are ready to fine-tune performance, expand their technical skill set, and cast with greater precision and efficiency.

Hosted by 5B Anglers, an International Fly Fishing (FFI) Affiliate, this session follows the FFI Silver and Gold-level casting curriculum and is taught by FFI certified casting instructors. The clinic will focus on advanced concepts, distance and accuracy under varying conditions, and refining technique to meet higher-level standards.

What you’ll work on:

• Advanced loop control and line management

• Distance casting and efficiency

• Accuracy at varying ranges and trajectories

• Casting in wind and changing conditions

• Skills aligned with FFI Silver & Gold standards and assessments

This clinic is best suited for confident, experienced casters who already have strong fundamentals and are interested in preparing for Silver or Gold-level FFI evaluations, or simply pushing their casting ability to the next level. Participants are welcome to attend the clinic simply to learn, improve, and challenge themselves — evaluation is completely optional. For those who wish, an FFI skills evaluation will be offered at the end of the clinic. Anglers who successfully complete the evaluation will leave with the required paperwork to submit to Fly Fishers International (FFI) to receive their official certificate and achievement pin.

Participants should be comfortable with foundational casting mechanics prior to attending.
