Whether you’re new to fly casting or looking to build a stronger, more consistent foundation, this clinic is designed to help you develop essential skills with confidence.
Hosted by 5B Anglers, an International Fly Fishing (FFI) Affiliate, this clinic focuses on the Foundations and Bronze-level casting curriculum, emphasizing efficient mechanics, accuracy, and control. Instruction will be led by FFI certified casting instructors who are passionate about helping anglers progress in a supportive, low-pressure environment.
What you’ll work on:
Fundamental casting mechanics and loop control
Improving accuracy and consistency
Understanding rod loading, timing, and stroke length
Troubleshooting common casting challenges
Building skills aligned with FFI Foundations & Bronze standards
This clinic is ideal for beginners, self-taught anglers looking to refine their technique, or anyone preparing for a Foundations or Bronze-level FFI skills assessment. Participants are welcome to attend the clinic simply to learn, improve, and challenge themselves — evaluation is completely optional. For those who wish, an FFI skills evaluation will be offered at the end of the clinic. Anglers who successfully complete the evaluation will leave with the required paperwork to submit to Fly Fishers International (FFI) to receive their official certificate and achievement pin.
