Evening Nymphing Outing - Big Wood River

Join us for an evening focused on nymphing techniques on the Big Wood River. This small-group outing is designed for anglers who already have solid foundational skills and want to refine their approach, rigging, and water-reading in moving currents. We’ll start with a short setup and technique session before splitting into two small groups and fishing into the evening.

Location: Meet at Howard Preserve
Cost: $50 per angler
Group Size: Limited to 4 anglers (2 hosts/guides)

Schedule

  • 5:30 – 6:00 PM: Gear up, rod and fly setup, nymphing techniques (as needed)

  • 6:00 PM – Dusk: Split into two groups and select water to fish

Attendee Requirements

  • Valid Idaho fishing license

  • Intermediate or better casting skills

  • Ability to wade in moving water currents

Required Angler Equipment

  • 5wt or 6wt rod with floating line

  • Waders and wading boots or wet-wading setup

  • Hat, eye protection (sunglasses)
